As a Senior Database Administrator with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:

Be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of the company's databases.
• Work closely with IT teams, developers, and business analysts to ensure database structures are suitable to meet business needs.
• Design, implement, and maintain database structures (e.g., tables, indexes, triggers, stored procedures).
• Develop and maintain database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and integrity.
• Administer and maintain multiple Server database environments, including installation, configuration, and patch management.
• Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Optimize database performance by tuning queries, indexing, and managing database configurations.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in database administration.
• Extensive experience with database management systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Strong knowledge of database design principles, tuning, and backup/restoration processes.
• Proficient in SQL and experience with various database management tools.
• Familiarity with cloud-based database services and data modeling.
• Active Secret clearance is required.
• This contract supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime. Candidates must be willing and able to meet recall requirements, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule. Due to federal requirements, only US Citizens can be considered. Candidates with dual citizenship cannot be considered
• Telework: Candidates must reside within a commutable distance and be available to work onsite at the customer's discretion. This includes being on-site during the transition period. Must be based around Colorado Springs, CO.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $110,600.00/Yr. - USD $232,600.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
