Department: Research-Adult Oncology-Novi Full time- 40 hours per week - Monday-Friday; Day Shift 7:00am-3:30pm- no weekends or holidays GENERAL SUMMARY Leads clinical research projects via study protocols and provides direct patient care for study participants. Responsibilities: Assists with the preparation, submission and management of internal/external compliance documentation at all stages of the research project. Assists with the selection, education, testing, and monitoring of research project participants. Follows protocols and collaborates with other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of participant care. Documents patient care and study results using appropriate formats and systems. Communicates patient/study results on an on-going basis to research team. Participates in quality assurance/improvement initiatives. Ensures compliance with applicable standards of care and regulatory requirements. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing Registered Nurse with minimum 5 years clinical experience, Oncology and/or Clinical Trial Research experience preferred. Proficiency with computer applications such as Goggle applications, Microsoft applications and the ability to analyze and effectively communicate data. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and adapt to changes in workloads and priorities. - Ability to work under minimal supervision, identify problems and implement solutions. - Ability to handle highly sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner, and in compliance with HIPAA guidelines. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Detail oriented. Must be able to collaborate with fellow research staff and oncology physicians on respective clinical trials.
