The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

Full time positions are available for Psychiatry Nurse Practitioners to work within ColumbiaDoctors outpatient setting providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and treatments for general psychiatry. A key component of this position is working collaboratively with primary care providers to ensure integrated and holistic care for patients. This position will involve working at a new, large multi-specialty medical practice in Westchester White Plains, adjacent to New York City.

Responsibilities




  • Conduct diagnostic psychiatric evaluations.



  • Provide psychopharmacologic and short-term psychotherapeutic treatments for a broad spectrum of psychiatric conditions.



  • Collaborate closely with primary care providers and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute integrated care plans, ensuring seamless patient care.



  • Act as a psychiatric consultant to primary care providers, offering guidance on mental health management within a primary care setting.



  • Maintain clear and timely documentation in accordance with institutional and regulatory standards.


  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Master's degree required or equivalent in education and experience; plus, one to two years of experience.


Other Requirements




  • New York State Registered Nurse and Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner Licenses required.



  • National Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), plus a minimum of two (2) years' experience in an outpatient setting.



  • DEA and BLS certifications.



  • Experience or interest in working within an integrated care framework is highly desirable.
