Job Description

The Role

Responsible for daily monitoring, inspecting, and proposing measures to correct or improve fresh products delivered to Coke Farm to meet established quality standards. Inspect and report on all inventory within the cooler. Works directly with Grower Liaison team and Sales to establish quality standards based on market needs.

Essential Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To

Product Inspecting and Reporting

  • Meet and greet growers as they arrive and evaluate all product delivered
  • Provide real time feedback to growers if needed, ideally on site, otherwise compose group text to provide feedback
  • Inspect inbound truck commodities during winter season and for all buy/sell goods and assess temperatures and ensure proper shipping methods were used to protect product
  • Take pictures of product being delivered to show all aspects of quality
  • Document product quality using internal reporting template
  • Upload pictures into internal QA folder
  • Create and Finalize end of day QA Report
  • Meet with the sales team upon start of shift to understand daily product expectations and market needs
  • Other duties as assigned

Product Monitoring

  • Daily cooler walkthrough upon start of shift to assess proper product storage, on hold items, etc.
  • Check cooler temperatures are adequate for product stored
  • Check product temperatures
  • Ensure applicable product is being hydrocooled and pressure cooled
  • Conduct shelf life report 2x a week
  • Proactively report aging of product to sales in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Agriculture background a plus: little to no experience okay - we will teach you!
  • Bi-lingual Spanish, verbal and written is required.
  • 1 year product inspection or willing to train
  • Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools or willing to train
  • Prior customer service experience helpful, but not required
  • Must be detail oriented and analytical
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment at 36 - 40 degrees
  • Ability to maintain a safe working environment by following all safety practices and food safety procedures
  • Professional attitude and strong work ethic
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (outlook, word, excel)
  • Basic math skills , counting
