If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Biomedical Equipment Technician at Carle Hospital. In this role, you'll be responsible for conducting preventive, predictive, and repair maintenance, as well as other scheduled services on Biomedical and related equipment. You'll have the opportunity to work with a variety of devices, including Infusion Pumps, Centrifuges, Suction pumps, Patient Support equipment, and more. The BMET 2, with minimal supervisions, maintains clinical equipment through the effective use of the Medical Equipment Management Plan. Performs a variety of tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, calibration and repair of biomedical equipment. Responsible for performing preventive, predictive and repair maintenance and other scheduled services on Biomedical and related equipment. Perform repairs and other technical activities with minimum supervision. Requires good oral and written communication and customer service skills. Maintains equipment inventory records and parts. The BMET 2 can teach basic skills to BMET level one technicians and can mentor others in basic skills. BMET Comprehensive understanding of common clinical terminology as well as that of life sciences such as anatomy and physiology. The BMET 2 demonstrates the ability to solve service line customer service problems. Qualifications License/Certifications: Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) within 1 year - Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI); Driver's License - Secretary of State (SOS); Certified Associate in Biomedical Technology (CABT) within 1 year - Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) Education: Associate's Degree: Related Field; Experience In Lieu of Education Other Knowledge/Skills: Biomedical Responsibilities

Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $26.19per hour - $43.74per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
