TheBilling Managerfor theDepartment of Family and Social Medicinewill supervise and oversee all Family Medicine billing activities and resolve all billing issues. They will participate in department wide initiative of maximization of charges, charge capture and edit and rejection reduction, reimbursements and A/R reconciliations for providers. The Billing Manager will develop and analyze programmatic reports on documentation and coding, then works with Program Directors and Clinicians on needed improvements. Provides feedback and updates to physician and administration on carrier regulations and requirements. Develops and provides monthly activity reports to manager and administrator. Responsibilitiesinclude but not limited to - Reviews and verifies clinical documentation supports diagnoses, procedures and treatment results for reimbursement purposes. Assigns codes for reimbursements, research and compliance with regulatory requirements utilizing guidelines. Researches, analyzes, recommends, and facilitates plan of action to correct discrepancies and prevent future coding errors. Requirements Bachelor's Degree required Certified Professional Coder required 2 years experience as a Certified Professional Coder Three years experience in a related field, with at least 2 years working in healthcare/revenue cycle management required Advanced in Excel and familiar with creating pivot tables Experience with cube reporting preferred Experience with Electronic Medical Software, EPIC preferred Department: Family Medicine Bargaining Unit:Non UnionCampus:MOSES Employment Status:Regular Full-TimeAddress:3544 Jerome Avenue, Bronx For positions that have only a rate listed, the displayedrate is the hiringrate but could be subject to change based on shift differential, experience, education or other relevant factors.
