Schmidt Construction Company part of the Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Loader Operator to work at our Colorado Springs, CO location. The Loader Operator o perates loader for the purpose preparing dirt for asphalt paving. Pay: $25-28 Shift: Full Time Day Job w/ Nights and Weekends as needed Benefits Competitive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Prescription, 401(K) with 3% Employer Contribution, Long- and Short-term Disability Year round, non-weather dependent employment Tuition Reimbursement for qualified skilled trade programs Student Loan Repayment Program Employee Referral Program Responsibilities The Loader Operator will: Performs daily machine inspection and routine greasing, oiling, and fueling Monitors any change in machine performance to identify potential malfunctions Reports any equipment or plant malfunctions Maintains cleanliness of equipment Assists maintenance personnel with repairs Maintains level work area to allow easy movement and access Loads trucks with correct material while eliminating contamination Maintains bucket levels when transporting material to keep machine balanced and to prevent spillage Complying with all safety regulations and policies Operates various mobile equipment as necessary Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor Skills The ideal candidate will have: Two years' experience running a loader Ability to read, write, and speak English Valid driver's license A team and safety oriented mentality Basic Mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of bulk materials Willingness to perform other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Lifts up to fifty (50) pounds Sits, stands, and walks for extended period of time Occasional pushing, pulling and/or prying Good visual acuity, depth perception and eye-hand coordination Able to detect differences between sounds that vary in pitch and loudness Works in environment with noise and temperature variations Operates motor vehicle To Apply Please submit your resume.
