The SMT Electronics Assembler follows work instructions to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies. The electronic components require protection from moisture and mechanical damage therefore, this position will seal the component by potting and curing, offering protection to the electronics. This position uses hand tools and performs inspections to ensure assembled products meet quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assembly:



  • Prepare the workbench for assembly.
  • Position and align parts in the correct fixture.
  • Assemble PCBAs to housing using hand tools and according to work instructions.
  • Connect component wires to PCBAs and attach the lid to the housing
  • Prepare, print, and affix the correct label.
  • Monitor and maintain adequate workbench inventory levels
  • Arrange assembled housing in brown potting trays and affix potting mold


Potting:



  • Arrange potting trays and place them in the potting machine.
  • Enter the program into the control panel.
  • Remove trays and place them in the curing oven.


Oven:



  • Arrange in the curing oven and enter the program into the control panel.
  • Assemble the final lid.
  • Remove completed housings and boxes for transport to the warehouse.


Final Testing



  • Operate test programs to functionally test finished kit assemblies.
  • Verify test results
  • Simple troubleshooting for failed assemblies.


REQUIREMENTS



  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as an Assembler.
  • Soldering experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of handling electronic assembly.
  • Ability to understand the potting procedure and its purpose.
  • Knowledge of potting machines and curing oven functions is a plus.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Willing to travel to Europe for training.
