Shift: PT - Saturday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Pay: $42/hr

As a Fireman, you'll operate, monitor, and repair the boiler plant under the direction of a Massachusetts 3rd Class Stationary Engineer. You will also perform heavy repair work, preventive maintenance tasks, and communicate regularly with clients and tenants, generating reports and logs as needed.

Responsibilities:



  • Report to the BTE Account Manager or Stationary 3rd Class Engineer (MA)
  • Collaborate with the team to foster goodwill and support company growth
  • Assist Stationary 3rd Class Engineer or Client Representative with additional duties
  • Maintain a valid 2nd Class Fireman license (MA)
  • Operate valves and HVAC components
  • Climb ladders (up to 20 feet) to perform repairs and maintenance
  • Perform service and repairs on HVAC equipment and related components
  • Communicate effectively with customers/tenants, both orally and in writing
  • Conduct building rounds to monitor and log boiler plant equipment status
  • Perform utility calculations, track steam usage, and assist with troubleshooting
  • Report any equipment defects and maintain accurate timesheets, logs, and work reports
  • Ensure safe working conditions and report safety violations to supervisors



Qualifications:



  • 3 to 5 years of direct experience in boiler operations and maintenance
  • State-issued 2nd Class Fireman License
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on customer service
