Willdan is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer for our office in Minnetonka, MN. This individual will work under the direction of the DevOps Manager, and work collaboratively with software engineering and IT to deploy and support the company's software solutions. Help automate and streamline our operations and processes. Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations. Will troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments. They will continue to learn and develop proficiencies in new and emerging technologies as required to keep pace with an ever-changing landscape of devices, form factors, patterns, and technologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Configure and support development environments.
  • Act as an intermediary between software developers and the production environments.
  • Perform ongoing routine application maintenance.
  • Follow and implement our software development processes and standards.
  • Responsible for implementation of application's build, release, deployment, and configuration activities.
  • Evaluates existing applications and platforms and provides recommendations for improving performance.
  • Participate in the development of contingency plans including reliable backup and restore procedures.
  • Participates in project planning and creates and shares development estimates and operational requirements.
  • Develops/builds IT solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Support and help implement agile development processes.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, technical degree, and/or practical relevant experience (2 or more years) in a Systems Administration or Dev Ops role.
  • 2-4 years of DevOps or Operations experience.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of code and script.
  • Experience:
    • Microsoft servers and Internet Information Services (IIS)
    • Azure DevOps (Git repos and CI/CD pipelines)
    • SQL Server
    • PowerShell
  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations for always-available software applications.
  • Ability to adjust to changing requirements, goal and strategies, and emerging technologies.
  • Help implement and adhere to security policies.
  • Ability to communicate collaboratively.
  • Working knowledge of automation tools like Ansible or Terraform.
  • Experience with Azure cloud services (automation, functions, containerization).
