We are currently seeking an innovative and experienced Product Owner for the SEI Wealth Platform (SWP), specializing in Trading & Settlement business processes. In this role, you will be a crucial part of the Product Design team, helping us deliver a product that our customers love to use. What You Will Do:
- Product Backlog Management: Collaborate with product managers and business teams to create and maintain a prioritized product backlog based on business value.
- Business Analysis and Documentation: Perform detailed analysis of business requirements, develop practical solutions, and provide comprehensive documentation, including Functional Requirements Specifications (FRAS), wireframes, workflow diagrams, and use cases.
- Product Development: Lead the product development process, from ideation to execution, ensuring that new functionalities meet user needs and improve the overall product experience.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with both internal and external stakeholders to align requirements with the product roadmap, ensuring coherence between development, business, operations, and other key stakeholders.
- Development Team Engagement: Work closely with the development team to address queries, remove roadblocks, and ensure quality delivery of features. Implement strategies to resolve issues that may impact sprint and release goals.
- Agile Ceremonies Participation: Actively participate in agile ceremonies, including Release Planning and Sprint Demos.
- Customer-Centric Focus: Anticipate customer needs and refine product features to deliver solutions that delight users.
- Industry Trends: Stay current on trends and best practices in the Wealth Management domain to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
What We Need From You:
- Experience: At least 7 years of experience in the Financial Services domain, with a background as a Product Owner or Business Analyst.
- Stakeholder Interaction: Proven ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders, including development teams, business units, operations, and clients.
- Settlement Processes Expertise:
- Security Trading and Settlement: Expertise in global and domestic markets with an understanding of settlement delivery.
- DTC Settlement Processes: Knowledge of DTC Confirm/Affirm, DTC NDO/DDO/ANE, DTC RAD, and DTC Settlement.
- Global Settlement Processes: Familiarity with trade settlement via ISO Messaging Protocol (SWIFT MT54x).
- Foreign Exchange (FX) Trading and Settlement.
- Beneficial Experience:
- Cash & Security Reconciliation: Experience with ISO messages related to reconciliation.
- FIX Messaging Protocol: Knowledge of FIX messaging.
- Business Value Understanding: Ability to clearly articulate the business value behind features and functions.
- Communication and Leadership Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and leadership abilities.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Data Analysis: Proficiency in querying and analyzing data using SQL and related tools.
- Development Methodology: Experience with Agile and/or Iterative development methodologies.
- Software Management Tools: Familiarity with software development and tracking tools such as Confluence, Rally, or similar.
