Position Summary:

Manager of Supply Chain will support and/or develop production and supply plans for Commercial and/or Clinical products to satisfy customer service and project objectives, while minimizing inventory costs, and managing supply risk. Responsible for reviewing and maintaining the Master Supply Plan and communicating, in conjunction with other cross departmental stakeholders, the detailed production schedule. Coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within and between

internal and external stakeholders according to daily, weekly, and monthly productions schedules.
Duties include review and distribution of production schedules, providing insight and guidance on resource planning in line with company goals, and tracking semi-finished and finished goods inventories internally and externally. Works independently with minimal oversight, following established procedures. Works on problems of moderate to significant scope. Exercises judgement using defined procedures to determine appropriate actions, and looks for, develops, and implements process improvements and efficiencies. This is a temp to hire position.

Essential duties and key job responsibilities and essential functions:


  • Develop detailed production schedules based on Master Supply Plan at various levels of aggregation and for specified planning periods as defined by management and/or the Sales & Operation Planning Committee.
  • Establish a model to determine and maintain optimal inventory targets based on forecast accuracy, manufacturing lead-time, customer service targets and other criteria in support of company objectives.
  • Interact with Internal and External manufacturing Operations, Technical Operations, Distribution and/or Commercial Partners to understand capacity constraints which may lead to inability to meet the operational forecast demands and/or result in product supply interruptions.
  • Plan and coordinate item creation and update, material transfer orders, and Bills of Material to ensure that products are complete and available within the prescribed time frame.
  • Coordinate movement of inventory between sites as needed. Ex. CMO to 3PL.
  • Evaluate and determine optimal allocation of materials. Resolve demand/supply, balance issues and manage the product allocation process.
  • Prepare, report, and communicate forecast and inventory measurements to management (forecast accuracy, inventory plan vs. targets). Maintain communication and ensure management is informed of key issues.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and analytics to drive data-driven decision making.
  • Responsible for observing all Company, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines

Minimum qualification to perform the job; specific skills; education; knowledge and job experience necessary to perform essential duties; physical requirements for job if any.


  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations management or another related field preferred, professional certification desirable.
  • 4-6 years of experience in and a thorough knowledge of supply chain principles and practices,
  • Knowledge of master scheduling, production planning, demand and supply management, materials and inventory management, purchasing and logistics
  • Relevant experience in Manufacturing or Supply Chain operations preferably in Pharmaceutical/OTC or medical device field with understanding of FDA cGMP's and/or clinical trials.
  • Ability to work independently and manage and/or lead multiple projects
  • Experience in a matrix team environment
  • Expert level proficiency in using MS Excel required. Aptitude in other MS products required (Word, Power Point)
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills

Pay Range: $112,000 - $168,000 per year
