AS Lead Auditor Your tasks
Position Summary The AS9100/AS9120 Lead Auditor is responsible for conducting comprehensive audits to ensure that aerospace organizations comply with the AS9100 or AS9120 standards. This role involves working closely with clients in the aerospace sector to assess their quality management systems, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities Audit Planning and Execution: Develop detailed audit plans tailored to client-specific AS9100/AS9120 requirements. Lead on-site audits at various aerospace organizations, including certification and surveillance audits. Assess the effectiveness of client quality management systems in line with AS9100/AS9120 standards. Reporting and Documentation: Compile comprehensive audit reports that document findings, non-conformities, and recommendations. Submit audit findings and documentation to certification bodies within required timelines. Ensure all audit documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned with certification body standards. Client Interaction and Guidance: Provide clients with clear feedback and recommendations based on audit findings. Engage with clients to clarify AS9100/AS9120 requirements and assist in developing corrective actions for any identified gaps. Serve as a representative of TUV SUD as a certifying body maintaining professional relationships and standards. Technical Competency and Development: Stay current on AS9100/AS9120 standards and relevant regulatory updates. Maintain and renew lead auditor certifications through continued education and professional development. Work Environment Requires significant travel to aerospace and defense manufacturing sites. Auditors must comply with the safety regulations and quality management procedures of various aerospace facilities. Your qualifications
Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (preferred). Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality auditing, with a strong focus on the aerospace sector. Proven experience in leading AS9100/AS9120 audits. Certifications AS9100/AS9120 Lead Auditor certification is required. Additional certifications (e.g., ISO 9001) are a plus. Skills Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment. Proficiency in audit management tools and software.
