Title:Senior Manager, Global Consolidations

Reports to:Director of Corporate Accounting

Location:Norwalk, CT USA

Relocation: No

Travel: Minimal to no travel is expected

About the Position:

Lead the financial consolidation process for the Terex Corporation globally ensuring timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.

What you'll do

Responsibilities:

  • Review and validate consolidation adjustments, including eliminations of intercompany profit in inventory, intercompany transactions, and balances.

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Conduct variance analysis on consolidated financial statements, identifying key drivers and providing insights for management.

  • Collaborate with Treasury, Legal and Tax to address all accounting concerns and impact of intra-legal entity transactions.

  • Collaborate with FP&A to align financial reporting with budgets, forecasts, and strategic objectives.

  • Serve as the point of contact for external auditors regarding consolidation-related matters.

  • Present financial data and insights to senior management, addressing queries and supporting strategic decision-making.

  • Manage, coach, and mentor a team of consolidation specialists to ensure high performance.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and identify opportunities to enhance the consolidation process through automation, tools, and best practices.

  • Strong knowledge and expertise with Microsoft Office Products, specifically with Excel, Outlook, and Word.

What you'll bring

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial consolidation, with a strong background in US GAAP-compliant group reporting.

  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP standards, especially those relating to consolidation (e.g., ASC 805 Business Combinations, ASC 810 Consolidation, ASC 830 Foreign Currency Matters).

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights.

  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial insights to senior management.

  • Ability to identify issues in consolidation processes and implement effective solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with consolidation software and ERP systems is highly preferred (e.g., Hyperion Financial Management, OneStream)

  • CPA and/or CMA designation preferred, but not required.

Salary: The salary range for this position is $146,400 - 219,600 annually. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and/or long-term incentive.
