Senior Digital Engineer - Contingent

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage digital engineering projects, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement software solutions.
• Innovate and integrate advanced technologies, particularly in AI/ML and data analytics, to enhance project outcomes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
• Support proposal development and contribute to business growth initiatives by identifying new opportunities and solutions.

Additional Responsibilities - Analyze system level digital engineering requirements and develop software development plans and software requirements documents (SRD).

- Develop software test and validation plans, including simulation-based testing and functional testing

- Assist with strategies to ensure cybersecurity compliance including certification for Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140-3, Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), and National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) /Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level (EAL) 4+.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.

Experience: Over 10 years of experience in digital engineering or software development.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in developing AI/ML software tools.
• Experience with software tools for data analytics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to innovate.

Additional Information:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
• Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
• 0-20% travel expected for on-site project meetings, technical assessments, and client engagements.
• Utilizes a hybrid work model to allow for a flexible work environment supporting productivity and collaboration: 80% remote work capability, 20% in-office presence in Huntsville, Alabama.
