About the Position

Dexis Professional Services is recruiting for an experienced Emergency Management Consultant to advise on the provision of business and economic analysis servicesfor the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) National Business Emergency Operations Center (NBEOC). The NBEOC is responsible for improving and directing information-sharing between government partners and business leaders, stakeholders, and organizations before, during and after disasters. The Center works to connect state, local, tribal and territorial governments with their relevant FEMA regional office as well as NBEOC's national business and industry network.

The Emergency Management Consultant will provide in-depth expertise related to Emergency Management and DHS/FEMA Operations in support of the development and maintenance of NBEOC's Data Dashboard, a web-based portal providing business, industry, and global supply chain data during the entire disaster lifecycle. The consultant will assist with the development and implementation of informed decisions drawing from their past experience and insights from collected data. This position is contingent upon contract award.


Responsibilities

  • Support all contract operations, communications, activities, and projects by providing relevant advice and analytical services on the problems associated with emergency management.
  • Provide plan and process recommendations in support of an effective and accurate Data Dashboard.
  • Adviseproject staff on data collection, processing, and analysis.
  • Advise project staff on drawing conclusions and actionable insights from collected data.
  • Assist with the development of a training plan and standard operating procedure for advising FEMA personnel on use of the Data Dashboard.
  • Support the establishment of a comprehensive Communication plan for providing businesses and industry partners with relevant analysis.
  • Engage with leadership at NBEOC to facilitate dialogue with business and industry stakeholders and ensure effective collaboration during disaster-related activities.
  • Perform other duties as needed.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in/or applicable to the emergency disaster management field.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, advanced degree preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of and familiarity with:

    • FEMA
    • National Response Coordination Center structure
    • DHS' Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA)
    • National Response and Recovery Frameworks
    • Energy Support Function #14
    • Integration of the private sector and industry with the federal government


  • Experience using ArcGIS, Power BI, and Microsoft Office.
  • Possession of an active Public Trust clearance preferred.

Below is the pay range aligned with this position. When developing a range, Dexis evaluates compensation holistically, triangulating between external market research, our budget for the position, and internal equity to arrive at a figure that is fair and competitive. Offers within this range will be based on an individual candidate's qualification, relevant education and experience, skills, performance, and organizational needs.

Dexis pay range for this role:
$84,000 $95,000 USD
