Job Summary: To assist in preparing weekly and biweekly payrolls and reimbursable expenses for all employees in accordance with established Company policies and government regulations. Works with Manager of Payroll. Directs and coordinates the flow of the payroll function, including ongoing process improvement and assessments. Works with various internal and external team members to provide guidance and feedback on payroll processes. Payroll system utilized is Workday. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Accurately perform the weekly and biweekly payroll for company. 2. Generate payroll reporting, reconciliation to 3rd party tax and garnishment payments. 3. Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll general ledger reconciliations. 4. Ensures compliance with Payroll policies and procedures, as well as all applicable State/Federal laws and IRS regulations. 5. Prepare 401(k) contribution/match/loan deposits. 6. Assist in preparing year-end W-2's for all employees for individual tax reporting purposes. 7. Research and resolves payroll inquiries (pay checks, W2 questions, bonus payments, etc.). 8. Collaborates with the Human Resources group and Departments to ensure the processing of new hires, transfers, promotions and terminations are reflected accurately and timely within Workday system. 9. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications: >Bachelor' s Degree (Accounting/Finance/Business) preferred, plus minimum 3-5 years of experience performing all aspects of payroll in a complex organization. >Ability to pay the utmost attention to detail and provide excellent customer service to employees as well as vendors. >Demonstrated working knowledge of Accounting and the general ledger needed. >Must have experience developing and complying with internal controls. >Time management skills are essential. >Experience with Workday is strongly preferred. >Strong proficiency in research, reporting and analytics. Physical Demands/Working Conditions: Generally, a desk job in standard office environment. Training Requirements: Corporate and departmental orientations. EMS Awareness Training (annual) Right To Know (annual) Workday, Kronos, ADP, Great Plains; Payroll, General Ledger (GL) and Microsoft Office Software. Internal Contacts: Human resources, managers, employees regarding payroll/timecard inquiries. External Contacts: Workday (HCM)/ADP, Commit (Consultant), Bank (wire transfers), T. Rowe Price (401k trustee), ACH (direct deposit), IRS/state jurisdictional authorities (tax matters), and various auditors The estimated base salary range for the position is $60,000- $80,000. The pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, job-related experience, skills and level of the position, and internal equity.
