Keysight seeks an experienced strategic planner with strong leadership skills to identify, analyze, and execute growth strategies when conditions align.

• Analyze target industries, markets, and sub-markets, including estimating market size and growth potential.
• Define and document strategic opportunities, identifying unique customer challenges that Keysight can address.
• Assess Keysight's competitive advantage and alignment with core competencies.
• Conduct Porter's Five Forces analysis.
• Evaluate known risks, including market, technology, and execution challenges.
• Identify future key enablers and potential industry disruptions.
• Determine the most attractive market sub-segments, supported by clear rationale.
• Develop multiple strategic approaches, including organic and non-organic growth (partnerships or acquisitions).
• Recommend investment strategies for growth.
• Prepare executive summaries and present strategic recommendations to corporate leadership and external consultants.

• Experience in technical and strategic planning related to electrical energy system modernization, including a deep understanding of utility markets, regulatory frameworks, and power and communication technologies.
• Proven track record in energy transition and grid modernization initiatives, with the ability to influence global energy modernization ecosystems (labs, research institutes, hardware/software vendors, service providers, standards bodies, operators, and regulators).
• Strong strategic planning and business development skills, demonstrated through successful contributions in similar roles.
• Ability to collaborate with leading customers to develop new solution roadmaps.
• Strong business acumen and analytical skills to synthesize clear, impactful strategies that drive business growth.
• Proficiency in secondary market research tools to objectively identify and prioritize potential opportunities.
• Effective collaboration skills to align with Keysight leadership in creating and executing sustainable growth strategies.
• Industry leadership credibility to represent Keysight in external forums and establish themselves as a global industry expert.
• Initiative, creativity, and sound decision-making skills to develop strategies for emerging industry needs.
• Adaptability in dynamic, complex environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for both internal and external audiences.

• 10-20 years of experience in strategic planning within the energy or technology sectors, with a strong technical foundation.
• Ability to balance customer engagement with in-depth market analysis.
• Proven ability to develop and execute business growth strategies.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or MBA degree, or equivalent experience.

California Pay range: MIN $172,000.00 - MAX $287,000.00
