As part of our Enterprise Technology (ET) team, you'll help develop the digital infrastructure essential for building the road to space, focusing on the digital capabilities pivotal to Blue Origin's mission. Enterprise Technology serves as the center of excellence for digital technology, aligning technology with business strategies.

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Front-End Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated user interfaces for a cutting-edge low-code platform. This high-impact position allows you to leverage advanced front-end technologies, shape product strategies, and innovate new platform UIs while mentoring junior developers. You'll work closely with design and back-end teams to ensure optimal performance and scalability. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Technical Leadership:

  • Architect complex front-end solutions, establish technical standards, and stay updated with emerging technologies.
  • Lead front-end development projects, set timelines, and ensure quality delivery.

Development and Implementation:

  • Translate UI/UX designs into functional and visually appealing user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Optimize front-end code for speed, responsiveness, and accessibility across various devices and browsers.

Collaboration and Mentorship:

  • Guide and mentor junior developers on standard methodologies, code quality, and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, back-end developers, product managers, and other collaborators to ensure alignment with project goals.

Qualifications:

  • At least 7 years of Front-End Development experience, including deploying software in production environments. Experience with AWS, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes is advantageous.
  • Expert-level knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript, including advanced concepts like DOM manipulation and asynchronous programming.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to write efficient code from incomplete or ambiguous requirements.
  • Extensive experience with popular frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js, with a deep understanding of component-based architecture and state management.
  • Experience in designing, consuming, and integrating GraphQL APIs into their frontend applications
  • Proficiency in responsive design principles and crafting adaptive layouts for various screen sizes.
  • Ability to write unit tests and debug thoroughly to resolve front-end issues.
  • Experience with backend technologies for better collaboration.
  • Experience in performance profiling and optimization techniques.
  • Knowledge of WCAG accessibility guidelines for inclusive design practices.
  • Proficient in Git for source code management.
  • Experience mentoring software engineers, including architecture, design, and code reviews.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:

  • Experience with build tools like Webpack or Vite.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and data interactions.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $177,567.00-$248,593.80
