SUMMARY: Under the supervision of a Regional/Market President, this associate is responsible for supporting the market leadership as well as Commercial Relationship Managers in all phases of the commercial relationship management process, including acquiring and closing new loan originations and renewals, portfolio administration, as well as providing customer service to clients and working with internal departments and partners on both product/service delivery and resolution of issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Serve as the primary point of contact to commercial clients' operational and administrative staff
  • Organize and schedule meetings, conference calls, appointments, and bank related events for market leadership and team as necessary
  • Screen incoming calls, determine criticality and importance of both caller and message, and determine the appropriate next steps
  • Provide quality customer service by answering calls and providing answers to client questions as necessary
  • Compose/type and disseminate detailed communications to internal and external clients using email, print, or fax. Ensure that appropriate precautions are maintained regarding confidential information
  • Create presentation materials as needed for clients, leadership and other internal business partners including Powerpoint slides, handouts, and other support materials
  • Prepare proposal and commitment letters
  • Prepare loan documents through the use of Laser Pro Software or coordination with outside legal counsel
  • Facilitate the filing of appropriate documents (mortgages, UCC, etc.) once they are signed and process appropriate disbursement requests; forward the completed loan package to Commercial Loan Servicing for booking on the system. Follow up on document and financial exceptions as needed
  • Prepare month end Lender Portfolio Reports, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) hours, Asset Quality (AQ) informational gathering, Beneficial Ownership Form resolutions, tracking and producing SBA reporting requirements, as well as reporting as requested
  • Monitor delinquencies and notify the Reporting Manager of those that will be 30 days or longer delinquent at month's end
  • Monitor daily NSF's
  • Assist with loan portfolio reviews
  • Assist with delinquency collection, matured loans, and other account maintenance
  • Respond to and resolve customer and branch service issues, (both loan and deposit), by researching issue and working with appropriate Bank areas to resolve problem
  • Participate in client calls as appropriate
  • Order departmental supplies and support office equipment. This position is also the point of contact for the Facilities Department
  • Coordinate ordering of appraisals, title work, flood searches, and other tasks as needed
  • Daily monitor the loan maturity forecast report
  • Complete all mandatory and elective training, including BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) and Anti-Money laundering procedures. Maintain compliance with all appropriate rules and regulations
  • Serves as "Lead" Loan Assistant in the market providing training, guidance, problem resolution as the primary resource for that Job set. Also, acts within the Job set as point on implementing new procedures and procedural changes driven by Loan Administration and Servicing/Doc Prep/Lending Sales Management/Credit (specifically Abrigo's Sageworks underwriting platform for specific Loan Assistant duties)
  • Perform various operational marketing duties as assigned
  • Regular, predictable attendance is an essential requirement of this position
  • Complete all other duties as assigned


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:



  • High School diploma or General Education degree (GED)
  • Minimum of five (5) years administrative support experience in a lending department; Commercial lending concept and loan documentation preferred
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Internet navigation/research, and Outlook is expected
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
