We are seeking a skilled Sr. Cloud Engineer I to design, deploy, and manage cloud-based infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) best practices. The ideal candidate will have experience working with one or more cloud providers (AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP) and will play a key role in automating, optimizing, and securing cloud environments for high-volume data workloads. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of cloud architectures, and hands-on expertise in cloud automation tools. - Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions with a focus on big data storage and processing.
- Implement scalable and automated infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
- Configure and optimize cloud storage solutions (Amazon S3, Azure Data Lake, Google Cloud Storage, OCI Object Storage) for efficient big data management.
- Automate cloud configurations and deployments using Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Optimize big data workloads for performance, cost efficiency, and security compliance.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data infrastructure, network performance, and cloud security concerns.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline data infrastructure updates and deployments.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of cloud configurations, data processing workflows, and best practices.
What you'll need to succeed:
- An active Secret DoD clearance
- 4-6 years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure automation.
- Hands-on experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, OCI or GCP).
- Strong proficiency in IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent.
- Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) and scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Experience with cloud-native big data tools such as AWS EMR, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery, or OCI Big Data Service.
- Expertise in data pipeline orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, AWS Glue, or Azure Data Factory.
- Knowledge of cloud networking, IAM, and security best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
