Job Summary:
This role is primarily a function of the Sales Team, and is responsible for partnering with our Account Executives and cross functional partners to prospect, pitch, and grow future and current customer opportunities as a culinary expert for Impossible products. As a Culinary Specialist, you will establish rapport with customer Innovation and Operations teams to sell our products with trend-forward applications and solution-based suggestions to seamlessly integrate Impossible onto menus and into customer BOH operations. We are looking for a strategic thinker that approaches our partnership opportunities by thinking critically, creatively and comprehensively.
Essential Job Functions:
Acting as a culinary liaison, this role bridges Impossible Foods with top food service customers, including national and regional accounts. Responsibilities include presenting products through trend-driven demonstrations, aligning operator concepts with product vision, and communicating customer needs internally and externally. The candidate will provide culinary solutions, support troubleshooting, and collaborate with internal teams (R&D, Product, Manufacturing, Sales) to develop the best offerings. Utilizing third-party data, they will analyze market, customer, and category trends to drive strategy. This remote role requires up to 50% travel for customer meetings and industry events.
Basic Qualifications:
Candidates should have 5-7+ years of technical experience, particularly in kitchens, working with large restaurant operators, and crafting customized technical culinary solutions. A genuine interest and passion for Impossible Food's mission is essential. Additionally, they must have the ability to present Impossible products effectively through culinary demonstrations and presentations. Success in working independently and navigating a constantly evolving, high-growth environment is also a key requirement.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have recent experience or a vested interest in growing a brand and pioneering culinary sales. A background that includes experience with both large and small manufacturers is preferred. They should demonstrate strong creative and critical thinking skills, the ability to quickly learn new concepts, and a proactive approach to solving complex problems. Organizational skills are highly valued, along with the ability to drive projects to completion with minimal direction, ensuring attention to detail and a willingness to dive deep when necessary. A growth mindset is crucial-candidates should be curious, open to feedback, and able to turn setbacks into opportunities for improvement. An entrepreneurial spirit with a bias towards action, strong decision-making skills, and the resilience to persevere in challenging situations is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates should have a highly collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across various functions, including Sales, R&D, Product, and Operations.
This U.S. based, full-time position offers the above base salary range + equity + benefits + bonus plan.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
