MDU Service Desk Representative

As a MDU Service Desk Representative, you are the voice of Metronet to our MDU (multi-dwelling unit) customers. This is an in-bound call center position where you will be answering questions related to billing issues, technical issues, and/or general questions regarding our business services. This is a position that is customer service focused so a successful candidate would have that customer service mindset as well as have strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work efficiently and effectively multi-task in a fast-paced, high volume call center environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  • Answers customer/client requests or inquiries concerning services and products and reports problem areas.
  • Utilizes various systems and tools to assist and service customers.
  • Continually maintain working knowledge of all company products, services and promotions.
  • Make recommendations according to customer's needs.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting/Schedule truck rolls as needed
  • May perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned and/or required.
  • Solid problem-solving skills for the purpose of determining and solving customer billing issues and service effecting issues.
  • 1st call resolution
  • Work with residential and business repair teams
  • Other job-related duties as requested


JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:



  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years related customer service experience preferred
  • Must be able to multitask and have strong organizational skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to showcase your customer service, initiative and problem-solving competencies
  • Willingness to work as a team and independently.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:



  • Experience in service specific troubleshooting methods
  • Responsible, self-motivated, organized, and a quick learner
  • Analytical/Logical problem-solving skills
  • Patient - The ability to guide and teach via the phone
  • Adaptability to change - comfortable in a rapidly evolving environment
  • Perform on-call rotation duties after regular business hours.
  • Available to work overtime when deemed necessary, including holidays and weekends.
