Accounting Auditor - Fort Lauderdale, FL Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL Job Type: Full-Time Vaco is hiring an Accounting Auditor to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records while identifying and resolving discrepancies. This role requires strong audit experience, financial management skills, and process improvement expertise. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive financial audits to verify adherence to company policies and regulations Identify and investigate discrepancies, inconsistencies, and potential financial misconduct Manage third-party audit requests (W/C, Union, Year-End, etc.) Analyze and assess financial data for accuracy and compliance Prepare detailed audit reports with recommendations for improving financial controls and procedures Collaborate with internal teams to implement process enhancements Monitor the effectiveness of financial controls and ensure ongoing compliance Stay updated on accounting regulations and industry best practices Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and reports Provide support and guidance on financial compliance and best practices Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of auditing experience (including financial audits) 2+ years of industry experience (Construction industry preferred) Strong knowledge of GAAP, auditing principles, and internal controls Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Strong verbal and written communication to effectively convey financial information Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality This is a great opportunity to join a growing company and play a key role in financial stability and compliance.
