What we offer:

* Salary: $50,000-$53,000

Job Functions: Serving alongside Metropolitan Ministries' in-house marketing and design team, the Marketing Manager (MM) will develop content that engages audiences across marketing channels. Create and manage social media posts and campaigns that help continually optimize storytelling and grow the organization's digital footprint. Utilize a strategic approach that aligns with Metropolitan Ministries' brand experience and increases funding for essential community programs.

The MM will also field internal marketing support requests and help see projects through to completion through excellent customer service. Collaborate with key marketing agency partners and promotion/print production vendors as well as internal cross functional teams to achieve organizational goals.

Essential Responsibilities:

Social Media Management

  • Assist with maintaining an authentic, organic online brand presence for the Ministries and its social enterprise affinity brands.
  • Regularly develop and implement social media content.
  • Monitor all social media accounts through social listening and analytics.
  • Engage followers and constituents through messaging, comments, and answering questions.
  • Create engaging copy, image, and video content that sustain readers' curiosity and create buzz around services/events/programs.
  • Stay up to date with changes on all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness.
  • Monitor and report on online reviews, and feedback from donors, clients, and fans.
  • Research and keep current with social media trends.
  • Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and engagement metrics.
  • Suggest new ways to engage and attract new audiences and donors.
  • Monitor competitor and partner activity and engage as necessary.

Marketing Operations

  • Help organize and maintain story resources and photo/video libraries.
  • Assist with maintaining the integrity of the website(s) and help with content updates as needed.
  • Act as the liaison with print and promotional vendors for quality control and purchasing.
  • Assist with hosting the news media if needed.
  • Meet personal goals and actively contribute to the achievement of team and organizational targets/goals as measured in Key Performance Indicators and stated in the strategic plan.
  • Support the marketing and cross functional teams in various tasks (creating/executing emails, graphics, event support, photography, video, research, etc.) as assigned.
  • Support peak holiday tent operations as directed.
  • Responsible for continually expanding personal non-profit, marketing, and communications knowledge through training and by staying abreast of national, state, and local trends, laws, and best practices.
Requirements

Education and Experience:

Four-year undergraduate degree in marketing, advertising, or related field and have 3 years of relevant work experience.

Skills Requirements:

Ability to communicate ideas and stories to a wide variety of stakeholder audiences. Thrive creatively and push the boundaries for presenting content and creating user experiences. Keen eye and ability for graphic design (Canva, Adobe). Agile project management capabilities. Marketing strategy acumen. Flexibility and ability to shift in a rapidly changing landscape. Decisiveness. Comfortable speaking publicly.

Writing, video, photography, proofreading, and editorial excellence coupled with an analytical mindset.

Willingness to learn new skills and understand emerging marketing technology/tools/platforms.

Ability to use a computer and peripheral equipment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite of products. Sensitivity to issues of faith, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time. Ability to walk and climb stairs and lift 20 lbs. Physically able to work in an outdoor/temporary shelter environment considering the local climate and its normal fluctuations.

Other:

Must demonstrate legal authorization to work in the United States. Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Valid Florida driver's license with a good driving record and an insured vehicle to transport self and clients when necessary. Available during core office hours (8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays) with shared coverage of special events on some evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak time periods.
