Job Description

Danfoss Power Solutions is currently hiring for our next Product Manager to support activities at our Jackson, Michigan facility. The Product Manager will be responsible for the strategy, planning, and growth of the cylinder product portfolio. The goal is to ensure that the products meet the needs of the target markets, are easy to specify & buy, and achieve the business objectives of BU Projects, Systems & Services.

This position requires the use of information or access to technology which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR/EAR. ITAR/EAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for, but not limited to, the following.




  • Conduct market research and Voice of Customer to identify customer needs,market trends, and competition.
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap for cylinder product lines that outlines the product's vision, short & long term strategy.
  • Execution of the bi-annual product performance and strategy review.
  • Own the growth map - sales initiatives and commercial programs (e.g. stroke shops, repair centers) for cylinder products, follow up with sales teams to provide support and ensure progress.
  • Own the front-end process: price list, configuration tools, special feature requests, special price approvals, digital customer experience.
  • Define product requirements and prioritize them based on customer feedback, business goals, and resource constraints.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, sales and marketing, to deliver the product to meet the requirements of the market.
  • Monitor product performance and analyze metrics, such as opportunity pipeline, sales and profitability, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, including customers and partners, to gather feedback and align product strategy with business objectives.
  • Outline the marketing strategy incl. promotion material and online presence.
  • Participate in exhibitions where applicable to gather market intel and participate as subject matter expert for your products.
  • Manage the product lifecycle, including product launch, updates, and end-of-life decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product management.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong passion to drive the business, self-motivated, and result oriented
  • 3-5 years of working experience from B2B area, preferably from the industrial environment.
  • Product management, project management, sales or engineering background.
