What You Will Do:

  • As the AVP, Network/Telephony Services, you will report directly to the CTO, L'Oreal Americas of L'Oreal USA. Your peers will be the functional direct reports to CTO, L'Oreal Americas.
  • You will provide leadership to the mission of the Americas Infrastructure group, focused on ensuring that Infrastructure investments and initiatives in project management services are aligned with the L'Oreal Americas IT PMO, business strategy and priorities.
  • Build and develop a team by mentoring, coaching, and educating the Infrastructure team members, ensuring that highest service levels are consistently provided in compliance with L'Oreal IT standards and methodologies
  • Working closely with your peers, you will be responsible for engineering the complete portfolio of Network Services which is generated each year in combination with the Strategic Committee, the global IT executive leadership team and the IT community.
  • The Network/Telephony Services portfolio comprises of LAN/WAN, Unified Communications, firewalls, gateways, proxies, corporate/cloud connectivity, wireless, load balancing, etc. across major vendors (i.e. Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, F5, Zscaler, etc.) with deep expertise of standard networking protocols/standards (i.e. MPLS, DMVPN, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, switching, routing, etc.)
  • You will support your peers in managing the budgets, both Capital and Operational spend, working closely with the PMO to ensure the successful delivery of budgetary objectives for the department.
  • As a member of the L'Oreal Americas Infrastructure group, the AVP, Network/Telephony Services will need strong leadership, strategic agility, technical expertise and practical implementation experience to continually advance the Company's IT Technology and Services capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the engineering functions (i.e. Plan/Build/Deploy) of Network/Telephony Services team(s) within the overall Americas Infrastructure group
  • Serve as one of the key "right-hand" technical hands-on individual to the CTO, L'Oreal Americas while providing leadership to the broader teams
  • Includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly LAN/WAN, firewalls, load balancing, Quality of Service, Voice-Over-IP, Cisco, Fortinet, ZScaler, security management, wireless networking, etc.
  • Deep understanding of networking standards/protocols (i.e. MPLS, DMVPN, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, switching, routing, etc.)
  • Maintain and design architecture based on best practices of general network/telephony infrastructure
  • System integration and design: Ability to understand application, network and system capabilities and produce infrastructure designs that meet business requirements
  • Project manage moderate-to-complex projects based on PMO methodologies
  • Provide leadership and continually maintain high morale within the team; Ensure the elevation of team's emotional and technical skills development
  • Foster and maintained existing and new vendor/partner/outsourcing relationships
  • Foster cross functional partnership amongst each major global region (i.e. Americas, EMEA, APAC, etc.)
  • Oversee reports of team tasks and projects on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Ensure all infrastructure/network architecture diagrams and documentations are up-to-date

What We Are Looking For:

  • Ideal candidate is an expert at multitasking with an in-depth knowledge of network/telephony infrastructure technologies (i.e. LAN/WAN, firewalls, load balancing, Quality of Service, Voice-Over-IP, Cisco, Fortinet, ZScaler, security management, wireless networking, routing, switching, networking protocols/standards, etc.)
  • Must possess infrastructure services background and understand large scale business processes
  • Must have significant experience in managing large global complex integrated LAN/WAN networks with integrated telephony across telecom providers like AT&T, Verizon, Orange, BT, etc.
  • Provide leadership in the areas of customer support and interaction, adherence to policies and processes, coordination with other IT development and support groups
  • Acquire solid understanding of the culture of L'Oreal USA and the client service demands
  • Maintain close awareness of the priorities and activities of the internal customers and how they relate to overall objective/target; challenge initiatives when needed
  • Ability to contribute both strategically and tactically
  • Possess impeccable communication/phone skills
  • Experience troubleshooting and supporting store and remote office connectivity
  • Engage vendors or other 3rd party support as needed, monitor and achieve technical issues resolution.
  • Willingness to learn, be a team player and a strong cross functional partner
  • Willingness to operate in a VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous) environment
  • Must be prepared to work from various company locations on an occasional basis (mainly in NY and NJ)

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Must possess hands-on infrastructure background with minimum of 10+ years experience
  • Outstanding customer service and interaction skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work independently under little supervision within a demanding client centric environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player with a high level of initiative
  • Ability to interface with various levels of management
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is desired
  • Profession certification (i.e. PMP) strongly preferred
