Duties and Responsibilities |
The Assistant Director - Financial Counselor is a critical member of the Financial Aid Team, providing guidance to Undergraduate and Graduate Students in all aspects of financing a Loyola University Chicago education.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Providing excellent customer service to Students and Parents via phone, e-mail, walk-in, and other forms of engagement regarding all financial aid matters.
- Conducting file review, preforms professional judgement, completes verification, and updates award packaging as required.
- Monitoring/maintaining application statuses within the Student Information System.
- Accessing federal and state systems (COD, NSLDS, GAP Access, FSA, etc.) to verify student aid eligibility.
- Supporting the Financial Aid Office by managing specific program area(s) such as R2T4, SAP, FWS, Scholarships, Consortium, Veterans, etc.
- Supporting the University through presentations to various public audiences including FAFSA workshops, financial wellness programs, orientations, and other admission events.
- Collaborating with Campus Partners to provide a holistic approach to service.
- Performing other duties as required.
