ERM Risk Analyst

The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Office is maturing the Bank's risk culture to proactively prepare for future Bank growth. ERM oversees the Bank's riskscape with highly trained and dedicated collaborative teams empowered to use information as a catalyst for action in risk management. ERM's focus on and management and mitigation of a broad array of risks in our dynamic environment leads to business resilience, improved performance, and customer and stakeholder confidence. The ERM Risk Analyst is a key role that will report to the Director of ERM. The ERM Risk Analyst will help to structure and lead processes and work efforts to deliver risk programs/strategies via the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) tools and the ERM program. The ERM Analyst will partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across ERM. The incumbent will perform a variety of tasks to support the Bank's risk program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.



  • Collaborate with the GRC Platform Manager, the Senior ERM Risk Analyst with work on the GRC platform and related processes.
  • Collaborate with the Head of ERM Framework and Strategy and work on specific deliverables associated with the ERM program.
  • Assist with the management of day-to-day operations of the GRC system.
  • Support the evolution of the risk programs managed by the ERM teams.
  • Collaborate with other team members on the implementation and evolution of certain modules within the GRC system.
  • Consult with risk teams, understand their information needs and translate them into specific deliverables.
  • Create and disseminate recurring and ad hoc reports.
  • Facilitate working or planning sessions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for the purposes of knowledge management, historical system documents, compliance, and communication.
  • Adapt to an evolving, dynamic organization.
  • Keep abreast of the latest risk management and regulatory landscape and best practices impacting banks.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Adheres to and complies with applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.).
  • Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and completes required training.
  • Identifies and reports suspicious activity.


EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE



  • 1 -- 5 years of experience as an analyst in a similar company or related field required.
  • Prior work across risk dimensions such as Operational or Credit or Liquidity Risk preferred.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS



  • Industry-recognized risk certifications (e.g., CERA, CRMP, CPRM, CERM, CRISC, RMP, etc.). preferred.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES



  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet daily deadlines for work efforts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to inform managers and other stakeholders of results.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Visio, GRC, and/or other analysis tools.
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to independently solve problems with data or process.
  • Acute attention to data integrity and accuracy.
  • Quantitative and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to understand new analytical concepts.
  • Knowledge and application of risk management frameworks.
  • Knowledge in risk assessment methodologies.
  • Knowledge of building Tableau reports is a plus.
