Job Summary Independently performs all duties as outlined in Neurodiagnostics Technologist level I, evoked potentials, complex NCS, and routine neurosurgical intraoperative monitoring. What you will do Performs all modalities of evoked potential recordings as outlined by laboratory protocols * Visual evoked potentials * Brainstem auditory evoked potentials * Somatosensory evoked potentials (median, posterior tibial, special studies as needed) Performs NCS * Routine NCS of upper and lower extremities * Non-routine studies of upper and lower extremities (suprascapular, musculocutaneous, Tarsal Tunnel work up, etc.) * RNS * Knowledge of factors affecting evoked potentials and NCS assessment (age, visual acuity, hearing threshold, height, limb temperature) Records clearly identifiable responses with replication. Identifies and corrects artifacts Identifies and labels latencies and amplitudes of obligate waveforms. Performs routine neurosurgical intraoperative monitoring * Lumbar and cervical EMG monitoring * Screw stimulation * SSEP and MEP monitoring * Knowledge of anesthesia effect on waveforms * Develops good rapport with neurosurgical team Trains in advanced intra-operative monitoring procedures Participates in continuing education. Oversees level I technologists Demonstrates a commitment to Prevea Health's mission, vision, and strategic goals Education Qualifications Graduate of an accredited neurodiagnostics program by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs. Required Experience Qualifications 1-3 years At least 2 years of experience in neurodiagnostics. Required Licenses and Certifications Registered in EEG through ABRET, registered or registry eligible in EP, CNIM, and/or NCS.
