Product Quality Manager
Position Overview

At Aurora Flight Sciences, we design, build, and fly advanced aircraft and enabling technologies from concept to reality. We are searching for a talented and self-motivated Product Quality Manager to help us create the future of flight. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Responsibilities

-Oversees department inspection activities, provides technical direction, revises work assignments to meet schedules and contract priorities. Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to employees and assigns duties.
-Responsible for operations, safety, cost, schedule, growth and quality.
-Continuously improve quality group productivity and maintain quality resource utilization/efficiency at or above goals. Recommends measures to continuously improve production or processing methods, equipment performance and quality of product, including leading the root cause and corrective action process.
-Interprets company policies to employees and enforces regulations relating to safety, attendance, conduct and other plant rules.
-Establishes or adjusts work procedures and employee schedules, including time off requests, to meet production or processing schedules.
-Provides guidance to teams on development and performance. When necessary, prepares Employee Disciplinary Actions, including background and supporting paperwork for presentation to the Manager.
-Communicates and interacts effectively with business leaders, program managers, peers, team members, and customers.
-Creates, reviews and updates procedures. Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality assurance and control activities.
-Performs other duties as assigned by Management.

Minimum Requirements

-High School diploma and two years demonstrated leadership experience, providing clear work assignment and direction to shop staff.
-Minimum five years of manufacturing and/or inspection experience.
-Proven ability to reduce CoPQ and set up new manufacturing processes.
-Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 requirements and associated QMS administration.
-Proficient at reading and interpreting blueprints and models.
-Must possess oral presentation skills, oral and written communication skills, group facilitation skills, conflict management skills and training skills.
-Maintain good housekeeping and safety procedures.
-Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio).
-Must be a US Person.

Preferred Requirements

-BS/BA (e.g., management, engineering, or relevant discipline).
-Aerospace and/or composite manufacturing experience.
-Experience in MRB, CAPA, APQP, GD&T, DOE, SPC, PPAP/FAI, PFMEA's, 8D/7D, Process Flow, and/or Control Plans.
-Effective collaboration across work site to promote results in meeting production targets.
-In depth knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes.
-Computer literacy with the ability to generate relative manufacturing reports.
-Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills. Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.
-Ability to analyze capacities and manage effectively through increased demand.

Physical Requirements

-Availability for 1st and 2nd Shift Preferred.
-Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and wear proper PPE.
-Lift and transport objects up to 35 pounds; consistently stand, stoop, crawl, bend, crouch, climb, and kneel.
-Work onsite in Bridgeport, WV.

Salary Range (Annualized USD)
