Job Summary:
The Senior Administration Specialist is at Temple University's Beasley School of Law. The Temple University Beasley School of Law is a top-ranked Law School whose mission is to advance excellence in and access to teaching, scholarship, and service. The Law School's Finance and Administration team supports the Law School's mission by providing fiscal oversight, budget management, personnel, and human resource management, coordination of grant pre-award and post-award submissions, approving and submitting invoices for payment, student worker payroll reconciliation, and manage Law School student events.

Reporting to the Senior Business Manager, the Senior Administrative Specialist requires effective communication skills, customer service orientation, and organization and will support the Law School's Finance and Administrative Department. Under the direction of the Senior Business Manager, this position will handle a variety of financial and administrative duties including, but not limited to, processing student payroll, supporting the onboarding process for new staff and faculty, handling general administration duties such as inquiries, completion of various forms (for HR, in compliance with TU policies, e.g.), processing AP invoices and non-staff travel reimbursements, supporting Legal Assistants for travel arrangements, student organization event support, and other duties as assigned. In addition, this person will serve as a backup to assist with grant pre-award activities. .

Required Education & Experience:




  • Three (3) years of directly related experience in handling administrative functions, including



  • Must know Microsoft Office.



  • Handled confidential information



  • Managed time-sensitive deliverables.



  • Demonstrated customer service experience.



  • Able to assist a group of individuals with various inquiries and requests.



  • Ability to learn new technology.



  • Strong organizational skills.




Preferred:

* Experience in higher education.

Required Skills and Abilities:

* Must be organized, self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

* Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

* Strong customer service oriented and completes tasks in a timely manner.

* Must be proficient with applications such as Microsoft Office and adapt to new technology.

* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

* Ability to manage time-sensitive deliverables.

* Demonstrated customer service experience.

* Able to assist a group of individuals with various inquiries and requests.

* Ability to learn new technology.

* Strong organizational skills.

Required Background Checks/Clearances:

Handle Purchasing Cards, Cash, Checks, Credit Cards, and/or manage financial transactions.

Access to Confidential/Personal Identifiable Information (PII).
