Basic Function

HF Sinclair Parco Refining LLC in Sinclair, WY is seeking an Equipment Operator who operates a wide variety of equipment within the refinery and on public roadways. Equipment is used for maintenance and up-keep on roadways, sewer systems, water systems, and up-keep of landfills

Job Duties

(functions considered essential as defined by ADA)



  • Safely perform required excavating operations to support maintenance activity and projects
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspection on vehicles and equipment
  • Maintain industrial landfill in accordance with environmental regulations
  • Maintain catalyst landfill in accordance with environmental regulations
  • Maintain pivots and disposable water system
  • Maintain asbestos landfill in accordance with environmental regulations
  • Repair and maintain potable water system and fire water system
  • Maintain roadways by plowing snow and sanding as necessary
  • Maintain storm sewer system and oily water sewer system
  • Follow-through on commitments made to others



Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from timeto time in their sole and complete discretion.

Experience

Two years of relatable industry experience.

Education Level

High school diploma or general education development certificate (GED)

Required Skills

Possession of a valid driver's license. Must pass or show proof of passing practical test on operation of heavy equipment.

Work Conditions

Refinery based with up to 5% travel by land and air required. Petroleum refinery, warehouse /plant environment, out-of- doors environment, and driver-based environment including, but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, and working in confined spaces and rotating equipment. Subject to all weathers and varying road conditions.

Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 50lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 50lbs, climbing up to 150ft,m ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates is essential, valid state driverAAAs license and proof of insurance required, perceiving color differences, ability to wear personal protective equipment (beards are not permitted), and strenuous physical activity.
