Your Job We are seeking a candidate to fill a manufacturing support role for the Continuous Manufacturing Group (CMG) within the Converting Technical Center (CTC). This position can be home-based. The position will report to the Process Optimization Manager and work with multiple groups and disciplines throughout operations to improve and sustain asset performance and reliability. Our Team This role will utilize Principle Based Management and Frameworks to proactively support the development and execution of improvement plans for the Paper Manufacturing site's tissue converting assets. This role will collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive results, creating superior value to meet GP's manufacturing vision. What You Will Do * Develop strong relationships with constituents in Operations, Engineering, and Business teams. * Coach and develop mill personnel as needed to drive improvements in Safety, Quality, and Productivity. * Perform benchmarking and gap closure analysis for the asset health and asset performance. * Improve site reliability and performance through the development/implementation of equipment asset strategies. * Collaborate with remote monitoring resources to develop and optimize monitoring strategies for assets. * Determine resources needed to execute strategies developed and work with the site leadership to implement recommended changes to staffing. * Identify Learning and Development opportunities in the mills you support and work with site leadership to close those gaps. * Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to facilitate experimentation and implementation of improvement opportunities. * Accountable for creating value through technical support of multiple mill operations and being a valued resource in their day-to-day operations * Identify capital improvement opportunities and collaborate with engineering on development and execution. * Adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety Compliance in all activities to achieve zero incidents Personal Attributes * Proven capability of leading through influence, working with and through large cross-functional teams * Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization. * Demonstrated project/program management experience * Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to collect, distill, and analyze data to identify key insights that can be used to make decisions and prioritize work * Ability to recognize potential issues, identify alternatives, and make recommendations * Demonstrated team/group facilitation experience - meetings, knowledge sharing, problem-solving, etc. * Proactive and demonstrates ownership- can identify opportunities and take initiative to create value. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * 7+ years of experience in Paper Converting Operations. * Knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of the design, operation, and maintenance of assets in scope of responsibility. * Demonstrated experience in collaboration with cross-functional teams. * Demonstrated experience in process improvement and process optimization. * Demonstrated experience in projects and implementation of project activities. * Ability to travel up to 50% What Will Put You Ahead * Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a preference for Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Pulp and Paper Science.
