Avient has embarked on a new company strategy that focuses on innovation of material science solutions. The methods and systems we use to generate demand must evolve to meet the needs of our strategy. Therefore, Avient is seeking a Director of Commercial Execution Optimization. This role will own the evolution and continuous improvement initiatives for Avient's complete go-to-market models, including the integration of all demand generation assets including sales teams, application engineering, marketing communications, lead management, and related systems, among others. This Director will lead a multi-layer organization that directly owns Marketing Communications, CRM, and lead management, as well as indirectly lead sales, marketing, and application engineering teams across various business verticals. Essential Functions
- Demand Generation Integration:
- Drive end-to-end integration of demand generation assets and strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing campaigns with business objectives.
- Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all demand generation activities.
- Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of demand generation efforts and adjust strategies as needed.
- Application Translation and Key Account Management:
- Ensure effective application translation and 'one-Avient' key account management.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer engagement and satisfaction.
- Work closely with sales and product teams to understand customer needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
- Maintain strong relationships with key accounts and identify opportunities for growth.
- Customer Journey Mapping:
- Develop and implement a customer journey mapping tool.
- Analyze customer touchpoints and interactions to identify areas for improvement.
- Use insights from customer journey mapping to enhance the overall customer experience.
- Collaborate with digital and IT teams to integrate the tool with existing systems.
- Analytics-Driven Insights:
- Utilize analytics-driven insights to inform decision-making and strategy.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Conduct regular analysis of market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Go-to-Market Model Design and Optimization:
- Design and optimize a go-to-market model and lead generation-to-close processes.
- Identify and implement best practices for lead generation, nurturing, and conversion.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment and efficiency.
- Continuously evaluate and refine the go-to-market strategy to drive growth.
- Demand Generation Workforce and Customer Automation System:
- Oversee and optimize Avient's demand generation workforce.
- Ensure the effective use and integration of the CRM and customer interface systems.
- Develop strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the customer automation system.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the CRM and customer interface, making improvements as necessary.
- Support Corporate Marketing Strategic Priorities:
- Build new businesses in high-growth segments by intersecting secular trends and our technologies.
- Enhance commercialization by acquiring new marketing and commercialization skills and developing processes and tools.
- Utilize digital tools to improve interactions and provide a more engaging and personalized customer experience.
- Council Leadership: Provide strategic guidance and support to the Commercial Execution Council to ensure the alignment of commercial strategies across all businesses and functions.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of proven experience in a senior marketing or commercial role, with a focus on demand generation and CRM.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire teams.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and CRM systems.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with key stakeholders.
