Job Description

Assistant to Radiology Chair

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Are you a hardworking administrative professional looking to take your career to the next level? We need you! We are looking for an Assistant to Chair to join our team and provide excellent administrative support to our Department of Radiology Chair. The Department of Radiology is a pioneer in innovation, applying the latest techniques, technology, and diagnostic methodologies to deliver integrated, evidence- based, patient centered care.

Role Overview:

    Perform various clerical duties and administrative duties, including but not limited to the Department Chair calendar management, organizing travel arrangements, coordinating meetings, processing reimbursements, and preparing meeting minutes
  • Prepare documents including memos, correspondence, reports, presentations, and manuals
  • Ensure confidentiality for sensitive documents per department and institution guidelines
  • Maintains licensures and memberships for Chair
  • Data gathering, analysis, and report generating
  • Craft and distribute email departmental communications including notifications, announcements, agendas, and invitations
  • Process payroll in MSK Time and Qgenda timekeeping systems
  • Prepare purchase requisitions, work orders, and process invoices for payment
  • Assist and participate in special projects

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience in administrative support for senior-level positions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other virtual platforms

Core Skills:

  • Strong writing skills essential
  • Some knowledge of medical terminology helpful
  • Resourceful and customer-service oriented
  • Strong prioritization, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Productive and eager to take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and passion
  • An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and executing communications based on that understanding
  • Committed to high standards of productivity
  • Adaptable in your approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations

Additional Information:

  • Location: Main Hospital Campus, 1275 York Avenue in NYC
  • Schedule: 9 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday (hybrid)
  • Reporting to the Administrative Supervisor, Radiology

Pay Range: $73,900.00-$114,400.00/annually
