Summary: The Application Support Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and support of the organization's software applications. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving application issues, providing technical support to users, and ensuring the smooth operation of business applications. The Analyst will work closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure applications are optimized and aligned with business needs. Will additionally develop and maintain monitoring/alerting systems to detect issues before they impact users.

This exempt position will report to the Senior Manager, Strategic Applications in the Information Technology department. It is based in our Chicago office and is a hybrid role: 3 days per week in the office/2 days per week remote.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $82,000 - $92,000 (commensurate with related experience).

Responsibilities:



  • Provide support for Membership Database (Aptify) and associated solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve application issues while working with end-users on the SQL-based membership (Aptify) system. Create workaround procedures when standard procedures have failed to ensure issues are resolved in a timely fashion. Detect and reproduce software defects and address directly or coordinate addressing. Recommend creative approaches to solving unique software problems while utilizing product functionality to the full extent.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining Application Support Standards, procedures, resolutions and training documentation as required. Create and coordinate training with the end users on new or updated solutions. Work closely with the technical support team to provide training and documentation for software resolution, installation, and configurations providing them the knowledge to enable them to assist with the support functions.

  • Create, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate SQL based reporting tools. Assist in the development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.

  • Ensure systems are up and meeting SLA standards.



Required Education and/or Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred but not required.

  • ITLL certification is preferred but not required.

  • At least 2+ years of experience in a similar software support role, including experience with SQL database schemas and SQL coding, strongly preferred.

  • Experience with .NET/MVC framework, HTML, and PHP preferred.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially advanced Excel (including experience using Pivot tables for reporting purposes).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to interact with all levels of the organization.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Capable of providing excellent customer service.
