What You'll Be Doing:
- Plumbing Maintenance & Repairs: You'll use your journeyman-level skills to repair and maintain plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, and laundry equipment, ensuring everything functions efficiently.
- Install Fixtures: Install bathroom fixtures, from sinks to toilets, ensuring everything is properly fitted and functioning.
- Problem Solving: You'll troubleshoot issues and apply your knowledge of plumbing standards and techniques to find the best solutions.
- Team Collaboration: Receive written or oral instructions daily, collaborating with other team members and supervisors to make sure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Quality Control: Your work will be inspected throughout the process and at completion to ensure that it meets the highest standards.
What We're Looking For:
Minimum Requirements:
- Journeyman Plumber : Must be a journeyman plumber and a member of the local union, with solid knowledge of plumbing standards, practices, tools, materials, and techniques.
- Certifications: Medical gas certification and backflow certification are required to meet the unique needs of our facility.
- Ability to Follow Instructions: You should be able to work from both written and oral instructions, ensuring that tasks are completed as expected.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal communication is key, as you'll need to discuss work assignments and provide updates on project progress.
- Physical Requirements: This job requires lifting up to 50 pounds, working from ladders and scaffolding, and performing physical tasks like bending, reaching, and walking.
- Driving: If driving is part of the role, you must meet the requirements specified in the Fleet Driving Safety and Compliance Policy and continue to meet them as a condition of employment.
- Safety Compliance: You must be able to wear a half-mask respirator to comply with OSHA safety requirements.
