SUMMARY

Responsible for evaluating prequalification information and subcontractor risk analysis for construction clients including analysis of financial statements and prequalification data. Generate reports for the Alliant brokerage teams, data analytics teams, and our clients. Key responsibilities include financial analysis and financial modeling utilizing an Alliant proprietary Contractor Credit Model (C2M) prequalification tool based upon the surety underwriting principles. Responsible for providing training to the team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Prepare and analyze C2M Portfolio reports to provide benchmarking and analytics services to clients.
  • Evaluate, analyze, and interpret specific financial statement and work in process data and criteria.
  • Train new hires to become proficient in the C2M analytic process.
  • Support plan design modeling analysis efforts and proactively identify areas for process improvement.
  • Conduct sales presentations for prospective clients on the value C2M provides to clients and SDI markets.
  • Provide reporting from internal and external Risk Management Information Systems.
  • Communicate with clients and subcontractors regarding information needed to perform financial analysis.
  • Assist with servicing of Subcontractor Default Insurance programs including cross-referencing subcontractor enrollment to financial analysis reports performed and identifying deficiencies.
  • Support Account Executives with various cost and data aggregation projects and analysis.
  • Assist C2M team with system improvements and electronic platform build out.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, business or equivalent combination of education and experience

Three (3) or more years related work experience

Two (2) or more years financial analysis experience

Three (3) or more years Power BI experience

Three (3) or more years experience with data modeling and developing scalable solutions for large datasets

SKILLS

Proficient in SQL for data querying, data integration, and transformation.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, and formulas for data analysis.

Strong analytical skills.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Strong understanding of business requirements and ability to translate them into actionable data insights.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to execute complex mathematical calculations.

Ability to prioritize and follow through on multiple tasks with efficiency.

Ability to use and understand financial statements and analysis.

Ability to work autonomously within a team environment.

Ability to automate data pipelines and reporting processes to improve efficiency.

Ability to work cross-functionally with business leaders, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure data needs are met.

Skilled in Python for data analysis, automation of repetitive tasks.

Expertise in data cleansing and preparation, ensuring data quality and integrity across multiple sources.
