PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The Warehousing and Inventory Operations Manager ensures operational excellence across Tree Top's supply chain by benchmarking the performance of Tree Tops network of warehousing providers, driving visibility and decision support to supply chain department heads, and assisting in the crafting & execution of warehousing strategy. The role is directly responsible for benchmarking warehousing performance, recommending changes to Tree Tops inventory and network strategies, supporting inventory at risk and the hold for non-conformance process, and guiding warehousing providers to improving performance metrics. The positions tool kit includes attributes from: basic queuing theory, supply chain network design & management, automated data collection and utilization, project management, change management and GMP's.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

This position reports to the Director of Logistics with a dotted line into the Supply Chain Warehousing and Distribution manager. The position supervises the Warehousing and Inventory Supervisor as well as the Supply Chain Data Analyst. The position works closely with all supply chain department heads, as well as key leaders in operations, sales, and finance.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY:

KNOWLEDGE OF:



  • Principles and practices of inventory management and logistics coordination.
  • Principles and practices of raw materials supply chain.
  • Working knowledge of raw product and associated attributes.
  • Understanding of variety of fruits and process of grading fruits.
  • Statistical modeling, accounting, and budgeting practices.
  • Pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes, and regulations.


ABILITY TO:



  • Frequently travel between local Tree Top warehouses in a personally owned vehicle.
  • Gain cooperation through discussion and persuasion.
  • Identify, research, and analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, and project consequences of proposed actions.
  • Gather, evaluate, and interpret information.
  • Effectively organize, plan, and execute.
  • Use computers and computer software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Meet behaviors established in Tree Top's performance management and development process.


EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION/LICENSES, AND TRAINING:



  • A bachelor's degree in business management, supply chain, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a food processing organization, performing logistics coordination, purchasing of raw materials, varietal and associated attribute grading, and/or inventory management.
  • Supervisory experience in a food manufacturing facility preferred.
