This position will be working as a liaison between Investment Accounting and Investment Operations to review and help structure the principal based bond definitions. The organization currently has 8 bond categories and is moving to 30 bond classifications. Will be asking questions and helping determine if the classifications. Is the security truly a bond? What type? What category does it move into - Bond type A vs Bond type C? Will translate accounting and then be able to have a conversation with investment operations to discuss what you each team had for a structure. Set up Security Master file attributes so they properly documented to 30 bond classifications.
The company is moving from PAM as the previous system of record for Investment Operations to Aladdin (BlackRock) software. Principal based bond definition wasn't part of the Aladdin world. Investment Accounting is still utilizing the PAM system currently. * Provides supporting analysis in various accounting functions; prepares specialized or more difficult reports, statements, analyses and interpretations utilizing advanced knowledge and proficiency in accounting practices, principles and interrelationships for both management and outside agencies. * Supports the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal management, internal audit, external audit and other external agencies. * Solid working knowledge of functions supported within the department and business areas supported. * Provides input and makes recommendations to management for optimizing processes. * Ability to work independently while interacting with various levels of management. * Will require collaboration across various parts of the organization, primarily in Accounting and Investment Operations. * Prepare clear and concise documentation supporting investment characteristics in accordance with accounting principles. * Ability to understand and apply accounting principles to various investment types. *Additional Skills & Qualifications* * 2 years bond structuring experience * 7 years financial services experience * 7 years Investment Accounting, Financial Analyst, Investment operations *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $100.00/hr.
