Clinical Care Technician (CCT), Inpatient Oncology

Job Overview: The highly-skilled, and accomplished, care team at Trinitas Regional Medical Center offers extensive experience in prostate, breast, lung, colorectal, head & neck, ovarian, liver and pancreatic cancers, multiple myeloma, leukemia, hematological disorders, and brain tumors. Our medical oncologists and hematologists meet with patients and their families to determine an individualized treatment plan that is optimal for each patient. As a part of our cancer treatment support system, our inpatient Oncology team is a 22-bed unit supporting a wide variety of Medical/Surgical and diagnostic services to the same diverse population of patients and their families affected by cancer diagnosis. Our Clinical Care Techs, an integral part of our patient care and clinical team, provide emotional and clinical support to our patients and their families.

Scheduling Requirements:

• Part Time
• Monday Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Two-week mandatory orientation required

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required
• AHA BLS prior to start date required
• Completion of a nursing fundamentals course and/or Certified Nursing Assistant program preferred
• Previous experience as a Clinical Care Technician (CCT) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) preferred
• Oncology, Med Surg, Telemetry, and/or acute clinical experience desired

Essential Functions: The Clinical Care Technician (CCT) provides direct patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). The CCT will promote and implement, in conjunction with the RN, the concept of patient and family-centered care. The CCT observes and reports patient s responses to intervention/treatment. They will greet and escort newly admitted patients, prepare patient environments for admission and/or transfer, and assure patients have appropriate identification bands on at all times. The CCT will also assist with feeding, bathing, and other duties associated with different patient care needs.
