We are currently hiring an Associate, Production Management for our Houston, TX site. Alcon manufacturing is a fast paced, high-energy environment so naturally we are looking for someone who is a relationship builder, an excellent analytical thinker, intuitive to business needs, and someone who can effectively communicate in challenging situations creating win-win scenarios. A Day in the Life:

As an Associate, you are responsible for unleashing the full potential of our people and culture while simultaneously achieving timely and cost-effective manufacturing of high-quality medical devices. The role of the Line Coordinator within Production is to assist and support the Supervisor in the planning/organizing of daily activities and schedules of production associates who are engaged in the production of medical device products and/or components and to manage projects and process improvements within assigned areas, all while maintaining regulatory compliance.

1. Assist the front line Supervisor, by providing leadership, training oversight, work direction recommendations for production technicians and shift to shift communication.
2. Operates in accordance with established policies and procedures to meet production commitments within Alcon's standards (production, quality, cost, conduct, and safety).
3. Troubleshoot problems regarding product quality and equipment within assigned areas.
4. Provides input and correction as needed in accordance with Alcon policies.
5. Provides on shift and cross shift feedback on all key performance indicators.
6. Manages conflict and deals effectively with others in a diverse workforce.
7. Leads and implement continuous improvement processes within assigned area, utilizing industry known lean manufacturing principles.
8. Provides positive influential behavior towards change management culture.
9. Sets a good example for others in their work area being active, positive and offering direction and problem solving. Faces problems with confidence and assurance, consistently excels in training, leading and motivating people

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED.
The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

Work Schedule: Friday - Sunday, every other Thursday, 4:00am - 4:00pm

Travel Requirements:0 to 10%

Preferred Qualifications:

- Understanding of Quality Processes (how to triage a quality issue)
- Experience with SAP is preferred

- Experience with CNSPPS is preferred
