GENERAL FUNCTION The manager of Slotting and Capacity (Supply Chain) will oversee the slotting activities, storage practices and determines the best placement of resources in our Atlanta campus. They will perform analytics, project planning, and track the execution of all projects related to slotting and capacity for specific business units. Additionally, this role will develop, analyze, and present solutions through collaboration with internal departments such as forecasting and planning, operations, business systems/IT, and engineering. Further, they will interface with all levels of business professionals within the organization MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain in depth knowledge of the various storage media and configurations, as well as slotting, consolidation tools, and operations, to optimize distribution storage footprint.
- Maintain in depth knowledge of process flow and value stream mapping to drive optimization of storage strategies
- Lead a team of analysts responsible for planning and executing all necessary slotting moves, ensuring that the DC operates under world-class slotting conditions and provide project management, process improvement support across various teams
- Collaborate with the operations team to help implement changes to improve the planning of storage capacity levels and communicate closely with the Business Intelligence (BI) team on volume forecasting.
- Build and leverage relationships with functional leaders and internal business partners to deliver optimal storage capacity solutions
- Provide consistent, relevant, and accurate data analyses and support operational decisions using data driven method.
- Develop new tools and processes to support supply chain goals and objectives, including creating and monitoring metrics.
- Supervising daily (housekeeping) tasks for all Business units (Eyewear, Apparel, Trade marketing, and Furniture) through respective team members.
- Coordinates the analysis of daily and weekly KPIs, reporting, identify root cause and execution of corrective actions.
- Develop an annual plan for improvement initiatives.
- Conduct problem-solving, root cause analysis, Gemba Walks, KAIZEN events, and workshops.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree (Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Economics, Engineering, Information Systems, or Industrial Engineering).
- 5+ years' experience in Logistics/Supply Chain or a similar environment.
- Experience delivering executive-level support within an executive office, including strong presentation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, high accuracy, and outstanding organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a complex work environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills that are professional and clear; ability to convey the SVP's voice orally and in writing.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously.
- Ability to adhere to deadlines and deliverables and excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical & mathematical skills; able to extract conclusions from available data.
- Proven ability to identify and resolve problems.
- Ability to make independent decisions and exercise judgment.
- Intermediate to advanced level of expertise in the key components of Microsoft Office and willingness to deepen those skills as needed.
- Expert in advanced analytics (Microsoft Access, VBA, Power Query, Alteryx, coding macros).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior warehouse automation design/implementation experience
- Prior Planning/Slotting Knowledge
- SAP & Planning Systems experience
