Job Purpose The Central Support Specialist and team acts as the main contact for Herc Rentals' national and strategic clients, ensuring they receive top-tier customer service in a dynamic, multi-channel support setting. This position involves developing and sustaining an excellent operational relationship with customers by managing all facets of the rental process, including cross-selling, upselling, quoting, rental contracts, and generating accurate invoices promptly and consistently. What you will do... Depending on the team, be available 24/7 for on-call or after-hours support to address customer needs. Show thorough knowledge of the equipment rental industry and the machinery we offer for rent and sale. Be prepared to guide customers in choosing the right equipment for their projects. Show a solid comprehension of operational procedures. Handle and respond to all incoming inquiries promptly, consistently, and with high quality. Record all customer interactions in Herc CRM (Salesforce.com). Strengthen and maintain effective relationships with each customer to drive revenue growth, retention and increase call positioning. Maximize/generate additional revenue by upselling and cross-selling solutions while delivering top-notch customer service and experience. Proactively identify customer requirements or concerns and collaborate with the leadership team to resolve them. Steadily maintain individual and team objectives, including KPIs and SLAs for response time, quality, retention, and revenue growth. Enhance skills to achieve advancement opportunities within the organization. Adhere to the attendance policy and scheduled hours. Requirements 2 years of experience in customer service or sales High school diploma or GED A bachelor's degree, associate's degree, or equivalent experience is preferred. Skills Proficiency with using CRM tools such as Salesforce is essential. Must be knowledgeable and able to support others in the correct use of Rentalman. Ability to type at least 30 words per minute. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. Skilled in product sales and providing customer solutions. Flexibility to meet evolving business and customer demands. Self-driven to accomplish objectives and achieve results. Skilled in professional and effective communication with all levels of hierarchy. Foster results through collaborative efforts and streamlined business processes. Competence in organizing and managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving skills. Analyzing and resolving problems at both strategic and operational levels.
