JOB SUMMARY

The E-Commerce Jewelry Associate's role will support Goodwill's mission by generating revenue to help people overcome barriers to economic and personal independence through education, training, and job placement programs. The Associate will work in a fast-paced production and team-oriented environment and will be responsible for sorting, identifying and classifying appropriate, quality jewelry for on- line sales and occasional retail center sales. The Jewelry Associate will ensure that production goals are met through inventory control, product transfer, and tracking of incoming and outgoing merchandise. The Jewelry Associate may also take quality photos of products to be used in listings and post them on our E-Commerce platform. Duties may include accurately describing each item, posting pictures, and adhering to daily goals and quotas. Daily interaction with customers and co-workers will require the Jewelry Associate to provide excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Meets or exceeds minimum productivity standards and expectations/KPIs for assigned duties.
  • Ensures that production goals are met through product identification, inventory control, product transfer, and tracking of incoming and outgoing merchandise. Performs quality control duties appropriate to achieve and maximize the highest volume of production in order to meet and/or exceed jewelry sales goals.
  • Photographs quality, high-end donated items ensuring quality photos that include sets/groupings, object design, identifiably markings, blemishes/wear n' tear, and other product detail.
  • Lists products onto our E-Commerce auction system, identifying and authenticating items as necessary to ensure accurate descriptions and professional listings by checking spelling and using good grammar.
  • Duties are completed accurately, safely, and timely to ensure that items are handled appropriately and not damaged throughout the E-Commerce process.
  • Promotes and demonstrates positive teamwork and cooperation.
  • Adapts and uses technology as it becomes available to operate efficiently. This includes but is not limited to process automation and platform updates and/or changes.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area to provide a safe and efficient workflow for employees and customers.
  • Adheres to and implements Goodwill and department policies and procedures, the Employee Handbook, and safety standards.
  • Cross-trains and works in other areas as assigned by any member of management.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:



  • One year of retail, warehouse, and/or E-Commerce experience is preferred.


Other:



  • Knowledge and experience of high-end jewelry merchandise including but not limited to fine gold and silver jewelry pieces, gemstones, original artist creations, Native American jewelry and accessories, antique jewelry collections, vintage costume jewelry, high end wristwatch identification, etc. is preferred.
  • Ability to use basic technologies to follow company standards. This may include but is not limited to Internet Search Engines, Microsoft Office Suite and other software platforms.
  • Able to identify and describe high-end merchandise, including but not limited to: antiques, collectibles, artwork, designer brand names, jewelry, etc. is preferred.
  • Able to communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff and peers through verbal and electronic means.
  • Able to effectively write and proofread item descriptions for clarity, spelling and grammar.
  • Able to withstand prolonged sitting/standing, reaching, and bending up to 8 hours per day.
  • Must have the ability to use a dolly and pallet jack as required.
  • Must be able to work a varied schedule which may include weekends, evenings and holidays as needed with occasional overtime.
