Cherokee Federal is seeking a talented Senior Business/ Financial Analyst to join our Rapid Response team (RRT) supporting the Service Center Recognition Image Processing System (SCRIPS) Modernization (MOD) software system. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in communicating sophisticated financial concepts to our tax professionals and end users, analyzing data, and assisting with tax form issues to enhance business practices. You will collaborate with the software development team, IT infrastructure team, on-site support team, and leadership team to design and implement tailored solutions, facilitate stakeholder engagement, and support project management activities. Additionally, you will contribute to the creation of deliverables such as reports, presentations, and training materials, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client expectations.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Senior Business Analyst: $80K-$100K

Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Senior Business Analyst Responsibilities Include:



  • Communicate financial concepts to end users, translate end users' feedback to tax document resources, analyze data, and assist in the development of strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate with clients and team members to design and implement tailored solutions.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and support project management activities.
  • Contribute to the creation of deliverables such as reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and training materials.
  • Prepare briefing material to update senior Executives.
  • Recommends business process reengineering improvements to maximize the new system's potential, improving overall tax processing speed and accuracy
  • Support the processes to create and distribute executive level reports to capture progress towards resolution of outstanding tax and Business process issues as well as progress toward key process indicators
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned


Senior Business Analyst Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:



  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, or finance a related field; Master's preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, strongly preferred in a federal setting.
  • 3+ years of accounting or finance experience in a large corporate setting.
  • Strong understanding of general tax processes and assist with explaining complex financial problems to team
  • Ability to analyze complex data, trends, and information to derive insights and develop strategic recommendations.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans that align with organizational objectives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, and other office software and collaboration tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex ideas and recommendations clearly.
  • Must be in good standing with the IRS
  • Prior experience in management consulting, strategy consulting, or a related field is preferred.
  • MBI security clearance preferred, if not the ability to qualify for MBI security clearance.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
