The Downstream Marketing General Manager plays a vital role in growing the visibility and reputation of the Vios brand as well as the adoption and use of the Vios patient monitoring system and services. This position will be responsible for new product launches, marketing campaigns, digital marketing, advertising, sales engagement, tradeshows, events, sales resource and tool development, customer engagement programs, and vendor management. The Downstream Marketing General Manager interfaces closely with internal and external stakeholders, driving cross-functional collaboration with sales, customer success, upstream marketing, product management, regulatory, quality, finance, and other business functions.

What To Expect (Essential Job Responsibilities)

  • Lead the downstream marketing efforts, linking commercialization planning and goals to organizational strategy.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive downstream marketing plans, influencing buy-in with internal senior management, sales leadership, and area sales.
  • Engage with customers and advisors as well as conducting market research to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, industry trends, and incorporate insights into future marketing planning.
  • Build and lead the content pipeline for high-quality promotional materials driving consistent positioning and messaging across all channels.
  • Engage internal and external subject matter experts to support content creation, positioning Vios as a thought leader in the patient monitoring space.
  • Build knowledge of product features/benefits, customers, and market to ensure all materials credibly and accurately communicate product details and key messaging.
  • Oversee the company's digital marketing efforts and online presence which includes website, social media, and partner/referral sites.
  • Oversee the company's website content strategy to enhance user experience and optimization for search engines (SEO).
  • Implement digital marketing campaigns to drive both demand and lead generation.

Miscellaneous Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate webinars as well as online events to feature product demonstrations or industry discussions, educating customers about our offerings.
  • Oversee tradeshow planning by managing logistics and communications for participation with in-person events, trade shows, and industry conferences.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for all downstream marketing initiatives with timely reporting, analyzing data to assess effectiveness and recommending adjustments to tactics as well as channel mix accordingly.
  • Responsible for the downstream marketing budget and ROI analysis.
  • Develop, support, and manage downstream marketing team to provide guidance on operations to ensure on-time, high-quality completion of deliverables, goals, and objectives.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to ensure alignment on messaging strategies that support revenue goals.
  • Mentor team members in project management, content development, and best practices for downstream marketing execution.

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Science, Engineering or a relatable field.
  • 7+ years' experiencein downstream marketing within the medical device industry.
  • 3+ years of experience in a management role with at least one direct report.
  • Proven track record of developing a steady stream of high-quality content from idea through final delivery.
  • Excellent project management, team leadership, and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to present to executive leadership teams.
  • Familiarity with FDA and global regulatory standards.
  • Excellent written communication skills, eye for detail, and the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Proficiency with digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics, SEO tools, CRM systems (i.e. Salesforce), email automation platforms, etc.

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience in the patient monitoring field strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional Interpersonal skills including effective collaboration and communication skills.
  • Experience coordinating webinars or virtual events is highly desirable.
  • Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills, adaptability, and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, ever-changing work priorities and environment while working among individuals from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds.
