GENERAL FUNCTION


The Process Engineer develops, troubleshoots, maintains, and improves automation control systems, and develops and maintains change management practices and processes across the Labs. The Process Engineer works with other management and staff to coordinate project requirements and schedules from a manufacturing engineering perspective.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Performs process and equipment technical development and standardization to improve production systems automation.
  • Deploys and troubleshoots PLC's and drive systems from Rockwell Automation or Siemens.
  • Designs production controls systems, equipment specifications working with cross functional internal/external disciplines for Lean Technology best in class production systems.
  • Supports/Drives capital improvement projects to create cost reductions, quality, safety, and workflow improvements to advance innovation in production automation technologies.
  • Partners with IT Technology to roadmap systems innovation and integration.
  • Acts as the subject matter expert with thorough knowledge of the controls engineering discipline.
  • Leads manufacturing equipment controls modification, integration and line balancing.
  • Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)/Sight Acceptance Testing (SAT).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Electrical Engineering
  • Controls/Automation Certification/License
  • 3+ years' experience in process engineering
  • Experience with PLC (AB and Siemens Controls)

  • BSEE
