Position Description:
Purpose
Under general supervision, assist in various administrative and data collection aspects of clinical research studies in the Neurology Department. This position will primarily work with the MS and Neuroimmunology division.
Primary Functions
- Under the direction of the study coordinator/manager or principal investigator, help staff to recruit, screen, enroll and obtain consent from program participants. Help to conduct or coordinate training for program participants.
- Coordinate research protocols including arranging necessary appointments and procedures, working collaboratively with other departments and institutions, and maintaining contact with study participants.
- Collect required data from study coordinators and research nurses, and enter onto clinical research forms and into computerized database
- Assist with study sample collection and processing as needed.
- Generate letters to be sent to study participants
- Provide general clerical support to nurses, study coordinators and investigators
- Assist in the preparation of IRB documents and reports as needed
- Assist with set-up of new clinical trials into Oncore Clinical Trials Management System and Florence e-regulatory system
- Order and maintain log of stipend checks and/or gift certificates to be distributed to study participants
- Verify accuracy of bills and stipends
- Compile outreach packets, recruitment and specimen collection kits
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge - Skills - Abilities
Knowledge of biology, chemistry, mathematics, documentation, and records management. Data utilization, complex problem solving, critical thinking, resource management, and writing skills.

8:00-4:30

Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis
Minimum Required Education: High school
Minimum Required Experience: 1 year
Certification: CITI training within 90 days of hire
